When I noticed that Dave McKean, a well-known illustrator for Batman and many other comics, illustrated this book, I knew I had to check it out. Richard Dawkin's The Magic of Reality: How We Know What's Really True makes the argument that reality is often just as magical as myth and science fiction. Each chapter poses a thought-provoking question, such as "When and How Did Everything Begin?" and "Are We Alone?" and covers myths, conspiracy theories, and legends that the human race has used for centuries to answer these questions. Finally, each question is answered by scientific explanations. Each chapter is beautifully illustrated comic book like illustrations. |
